About UptimeVitals
UptimeVitals exists because of a pattern its operator kept meeting across years of running hosting servers: the website was up, the server was healthy — and the business was silently unreachable. An SPF record quietly broke when a new invoicing tool was added. A certificate lapsed over a holiday weekend. A registrar renewal email went to a dead mailbox. Every one of these was a five-minute fix that took weeks to notice.
Enterprise monitoring exists, and so do single-purpose tools — one for uptime, one for DMARC, a third for blacklists, each with its own bill and its own dashboard written for engineers. Small sites got the worst of both worlds: too small for the enterprise stack, too busy to babysit four tools.
So we built the missing middle: the ten checks a small site actually needs, one score, alerts written for owners instead of sysadmins, and a price that survives the "is this worth it?" test — five dollars, because the first caught incident pays for a year of it.
How we work
Plain English, always. If an alert needs a glossary, it failed. No fake scale. We publish our own status page, monitored like any customer's. Your data stays yours. DNS and report data are used to monitor your sites — never sold, never mined.
UptimeVitals is operated from the same infrastructure culture as its sister project MXDoctor, where the free checking tools live. Questions land with a human: [email protected].
